Which presser foot is for sewing velvet?

Velvet has one direction so make sure that all the pieces are in the same direction. Cut the pieces one by one on the wrong side of the fabric.

Velvet doesn’t like to be right together, it moves, slides… You have to:
-Baste the pieces together before sewing.
-Use a double feed, Teflon or roulette presser foot.
-Lower the tension of the machine.
-Reduce the margins and open the tweezers.

Be careful with the iron! In order not to mark the velvet, you should never touch the fabric with the iron but use a lot of steam.

The good thing about velvet is that it does not fray much so you can finish the margins with a pair of scissors.
